High build is your best friend if you have pinholes, scratches, or other minor imperfections. Try it on a small piece like the radiator shell and you will see how smooth it comes out. And yes, I agree a single stage paint is the way to go. A lot cheaper and less chance to screw it up or get dust in it. Also easier to fix down the road.
