I thought it was carb or coil or condenser...
Turned out to be a bad crimp job at the 12v to coil.
Been 30 years since i had a waterproof dist, but check the 12v wire closely, and also the plastic insulator bushing where it goes through the wall of the dist.
And a known trouble spot is the RFI suppressor under the coil? A disc shaped thing that can be replaced with a round piece of wood with a nail through the center.
