You can always clean off metal to get ready for the big spend. Cost next to nothing to scrape, scrub and clean old iron first before you work on it. Makes the job nice when the parts are not covered in grease, rust, mud etc. While your scrubbing you can look at the truck and dream about all the neat things you plan to do. Cleaning is one of the hardest yet cheapest thing to do to the truck. If you can't clean it you probley won't finish it.
