I've never had any question about the quality of work they perform. I mean I'm hoping for $175k that they have a qualified mechanic or two on hand. What bothers me is that they're marketing them to the rich folks with no knowledge or real interest in Dodge Power Wagons, other than their general shape.
I can't stand a build where shortcuts are taken to speed up the build...
IE-1: poorly designed electric winch mount.
IE-2: cheesy gauges just screwed into the dash like you'd install gauges in a forklift.
IE-3: tacky bucket seats installed because they can just call Jegs & order a set rather than design something & fabricate it from scratch to suit the vehicle.
The list could go on & on. I absolutely love a properly done custom vehicle. I have zero problem with modifying an old vehicle like these...there's thousands & thousands still out there & so if a guy wants to modify one, I certainly don't have a problem with that.
What I have a problem with is poor design work.
It doesn't bother me personally because I would never ever buy one...not even for $20k but I just wish there was material out there calling a spade a spade so prospective rich guys can at least educate themselves enough to know that they look like a dork driving one of these.
A Hummer is 10 times cooler & at least original.
