Your crank doesn't already have a repair sleeve on it, does it? I've encountered a 4bt that already had a repair sleeve on it. The stock seal that came with my overhaul kit would not go on over the repair sleeve. I had to buy the special seal that comes with the repair sleeve.
Also, Cummins claims their seals are better than the aftermarket seals. Maybe they're right?
