They use a power wagon frame and put all modern power terrain underneath like i had Dan M. build for me. Legacy builds an incredibly nice truck. The thing i really don't understand about legacy's trucks is that they put full role cages, pro rock axles, atlas transfer cases, long travel shocks and other hardcore off road gear under them, but nobody in there right mind is going to take 200k + truck out hardcore rock crawling. Too me the more appropriate modernizing upgrades would be a nice touchscreen stereo system or modern headlights. Im not saying they don't build a nice truck and i really can't knock there style, after all i did borrow a few ideas from there SEMA crew cab.

As far as using the pto winch while also repowering can definitely be done. After all my truck has a Cummins 4bt and has the PTO winch. I would speculate that Legacy knows how to do this, there is no shortage of talent or expertise in there shop i can promise you. Im told that they use the electric winch for safety reasons if the truck was involved in a collision or whatever but Im guessing that cost also influences there decision on using electric winch vs PTO.
