1972 Dodge W200 Power Wagon $19,500 [MO]

I have a 1972 Dodge W200 Cummins conversion for sale. I own a classic Mustang restoration shop and this is my personal truck. I've put about four thousand miles on it since it's completion. My asking price wouldn't even cover the labor to do a diesel conversion of this quality. It is basically a full restoration without the paint job. It took 40+ years to make the exterior look like that. I didn't want to ruin it.

The truck attracts as much attention as any full restoration I've ever owned. Basically its a 1992 W250 packed into a '72 frame and body. Even the dash, tilt column, heat/ac are all '92 To start with I bought the ex Forest Service Dodge that was used in the Black Hill of South Dakota. That truck was $2,700 plus having it hauled. Next I bought a 1992 W250 that was a super nice truck that had an encounter with a ditch and had frame damage. That was $2,000. The freshened up injection pump was $1,100.

The custom built trans with converter was $2,000. More specifically the converter was built to diesel pusher motorhome specs with a very low stall speed. Next came freshly painted wheels (single stage urethane) and $1,100 worth of Michelin LTX ms2. The full 4" exhaust with stainless steel muffler was $400. The 8 way 40-20-40 power seat out of modern Dodge was $800 after being recovered. Let's not forget about a BUNCH of Dynamat to keep the noise down. I also went completely through the front axle with new outer joints, packed all bearings, new calipers, hoses and top of the line pads.

After completely disassembling the truck I used the firewall, inner fenders and radiator support out of the '92. I wanted a factory look, fit and finish to this truck. It runs and drives just about perfect. I think this covers the highlights without writing an epic novel.

Obviously there's much more to this truck so if you would like some more info please call 573-230-6222 or email me Paul@BandelierMustang.com.

Price is $19,500 or trade for a late model 4 door 4X4 Ram - preferably Diesel but will consider a nice condition Hemi. I am located in Jefferson City MO and would drive this truck anywhere. Thanks .
