you would have to change the fron axle housing. right side lower mount for PW style is welded. the knee action work great. I have never had to have a set rebuilt. a couple needed to be topped up with fluid. I have found the 3/4 tons ride better than PWs so never felt a need to switch. at one point I wanted to run both styles up front. then head for the Baja 1000. ;/)
