On my first PW I had under hood heat issues with my fuel pump till I made a heat shield. The manual pump can't move vapor but the electric fuel pump at the other end of the truck can push the fuel in and still work. Vapors just goes out the carb bowl vent. I will put a couple more in after I get some scrap aluminum from town sheared the size I need. Never used the Header Glass Cloth Wrap before but thought I would give it a try. Seems like it should work. I did think about fuel spills, oil leaks ect getting on the wrap. I will have to watch for build up if it happens. I think they have a thin wrap that is sealed on the surface to stop soaking in problems that you can wipe off?
