Of course we all rate our power wagons number one. I hate to say though, that the Toyota Prius and Musk's Tesla or Nissan's LEAF seem very patriotic cars since they may tend to disrupt our constant-war-for-oil paradigm. I'm just saying it makes me think about what is truly patriotic. Now I'll go drive my '53 FFPW around and cogitate further! Tomorrow I'll ride my electric scooter in the Independence Day parade in town. It's even solar powered since my array out in the field makes more than 100% of our electricity. I modified the little Razor scooter to run on two 18VDC Ryobi power tool batteries. Goes like a bat out of hell for over 5 miles on a charge. Some day one of us will re-power a Power Wagon with electric motor(s) or a hybrid set up. Happy 4th!
