Interesting info about the model number. I'll post the block number and the rest of the info off the tag. Told the guy I'd pick it up toward the end of next week. Will need to take my big truck down, move a bunch of junk off to the side, and cut some brush to get to it since I figure on loading the whole engine and frame residue as a unit rather than try to separate things there. There's another pretty interesting rig there, some kind of yard crane made out of who knows what, at least one more engine (some OHV straight 6, maybe a GM 251), lots of sheet metal and bumpers of unknown rigs, even an old Dodge p/u box with the curvy side brackets, totally rusted to hell unfortunately. The old man died last year at 92. The son's been cleaning up what the tweakers left. The guy was a real Depression-era packrat, but also kind of a mad genius from what I can tell. Besides the home-made yard crane and dump bed, there's a home-made lathe, drill press, and forge. It's quite a pile.
