Yep I have seen a spring loose. The problem with almost all disks available are rebuilt. Many have been rebuilt many times and the metal commonly fails on them. I had the center hub let loose after 1000 miles and the spare disk I had fractures in it. That is why I suggested that you contact DC to get one. He sold me a new one in its original box.
