get it out of 4th then you need to raise engine rpms to match the engine speed with speed of gears. usually just a little blip on the gas then slide into 3rd without clutch works best for me. the faster you are rolling down the road the higher the rpms need to be raised up to match everything. takes practice. I a little grinding while learning wont hurt these tough old boxes.
