I thought the same thing and I have a real good gauge to use that was like $70.00 plus made by Steward. I still need to get a filter for it and flush the oil. Then go with a good oil not plain jane 10/40. I normally run a engine till it is good and warmed up and change out the oil just because to new again. Gets a lot of the little stuff out of the engine it washed off running for the first time.
