Smart idea. I'm not sure it would work too well on a WC/WM style third member, since the oil galley to the front pinion bearings would be in the sump and sloping away from the front bearing. Plus a hundred other issues. But it's fun to think about. Maybe swap out the original axles for 2 1/2 ton top-loaders. I wonder what the track is on those?
