I need to take the third member out of the centered rear and and repair some studs. I dunno if the threads I put in after drilling them out for the larger studs stripped, or if the studs themselves stripped......IM more inclined to think the case stripped, not the studs.
Anyway, Im thinking heli coil. My question is, is the case lip too thin for a hell coil? Will it matter if it sticks out on the inside? I know it shouldn't stick out on the outside, so will it be too long and protrude on the inside? no bid deal if it does right? nothin gonna hit it.
Short of heli coil, any other suggestions for a few stripped holes, and a few that are leaking oil?
