Running Board Mounts Are At Different Heights

After bolting the running board mounts to the frame, we've noticed they hang at different heights leading us to wonder if there is a sequence. For example , the middle mount on the driver's side of the cab is lower than the front and rear mount. We are in the process of switching them around to see what happens as we try and install the running boards. Duh!
