I used the Vintage Air Gen II mini, it's their smallest heat/ac unit. It could probably be tucked up tighter than I did, but it hides pretty well.
I built some pods out of sheetmetal and installed round outlets below the dash, though I've seen people use the square ones which are a lower profile, but just didn't seem right for looks to me.
Installing it wasn't so difficult, hard part for me was the bracket for the compressor, but with a 318 V8 that shouldn't be a problem for you.
