That's about as dumb as the wind turbine on top of a peanut-shaped RV.

A belt-driven alternator would be much more efficient for making electricity.

A turbo works not only by converting escaping heat energy into mechanical motion, but by then using that motion to improve the efficiency of the combustion. Increasing oxygen in the combustion lets you take advantage of free fuel in the ambient air.
