OT: Tractor Problem Solved

Finally figured out why my MF compact diesel tractor wouldn't start. After removing and testing all glow plugs and checking fuses, etc. etc. Checked on line an it turns out there was a bad batch of these fuel shut-off solenoids. They failed at 200-300 hours. When it works right, the solenoid constantly retracts the rod. When it fails, the rod won't retract and you can't start the tractor. Remove the solenoid and you are back in business but then you can't stop the tractor until you reinsert it in the injector lift pump. New one is on the way for $220! Other versions are on ebay for $20. Not this one. Ugh!
