so true
i have a friend who has a huge farm with wood all over it and it has been in the back of my mind for awhile
so yes we would want one for everyday use
and as you point out the alaskan mills(most of the time i buy wood it is milled with a chain saw) are handy but you loose a lot of wood and they are slow compared to the band saws
