Willy: If they are not lined up the "phasing will be off", which does not sound like much but they will quickly beat themselves to death and make all sorts of noise that are hard to trouble shoot. Rockauto does have both the three and four inch U joints if you have not already replaced all eight of them. I think if they were 180 off they would still be fine.
