I sympathize with you, been there and done that. I used to be able to get a heavy denim engineers cap that was great, the bill was only about 1", just enough to stop the overhead lights reflecting off the inside of glasses and it allowed better vision for avoiding such incidents as well as a bit of protection. My old man always wore ex-army engineers beret in the shop in the winter and I understand why. I've tried beanies, but don't like them.
