I think the conversions like yours are kinda neat because they mesh well with the original Doge military parts. It would be a shame to have to undo what has already been done. I considered putting Hercules in my Carryall. I haven't done it yet.

A Dennan overdrive might turn up for sale if you watch, even if they are not being manufactured anymore. You could also copy that design, and build your own. The Laycock parts should be available. The Carryall doesn't have as much room (shorter wheelbase/rear driveshaft) as a 126" wheelbase Power Wagon. An old school Brown Lipe auxiliary would also be a challenge to squeeze in, and you would end up with a lot of U joints and short driveshafts to maintain.

You might want to ask Charles Talbert. Charles prefers Cummins over the Hercules, but he may know more about the Caudell conversion and be able to suggest a course of action. Charles uses an overdrive transmission using an SAE #3 housing.
