After doing a lot of on-line searching last night it looks like there is some kind of filter in the PVC breather cap. It's strange to me why they would bother running a hose to the shell of the air cleaner if there's already a filter in the cap, especially since the hose receives unfiltered air from the air cleaner. On to the next item....
