A few years back, I was told of an open cab PW available from a Hill Country VFD near me. I even talked to one of the guys trying to sell it, and was going to send a disposable camera for them to take pics.
I discounted the truck, as I was certain it was an M-37 of which I had no interest, and did not send a camera.
Later, I found out that it was in fact a flat fender, 1952 I think, open cab PW. It was GIVEN to a mechanic that was going to make it operational and let the neighbors use it.
It sits at his shop, adjacent to the entrance of a 16,000 acre ranch that belongs to one of my best buds trustfund. I go there about twice a year.
The ranch foreman told me that they had just given him their old Power Wagon, upon my first visit there in my 57 TW PW. I missed out on two freebies!
