Tom- Bob Brown, who is the Burma Ford Expert to beat all experts, has no idea why they got the name of Burma Ford or Burma Jeep. He suspects that they got the name from exporting them, but they also have been called Russian Jeep despite the fact that there were only a few sent to Russia. I haven't heard any plausible explanations recently, just urban legends. Anyhow, once you get one, you won't believe how nice they are. Anybody got one in the Baltimore Area for sale?
