I use it in all my vehicles, I cleaned and rebuilt the entire system when making the switch. As mentioned in a previous responce, the DOT 5 does not absorb moisture which will ruin a braking system that is not used for long preiods of time. It also will not damage paint when spilled.
It's a little exspensive, but cheaper than rebuilding or replacing rusted brake parts. I have not noticed any change in preformance.
