I think I ran into this rusty screw problem on my D200 also. I eventually put a ground block on the fender with a wire to the neg battery side and then proceeded to run various ground wires from all parts of the engine compartment to this ground block. Heater fan,wiper motor, and so on and things seem to be a little more perky and my troubles went away after I did this.
