Cliff, If you have the space and a concret floor, I have found that an engine hoist works good for dropping the transmission. I just go in the passenger side with the door open, floor pans removed, shift levels removed, hook a short chain to the tranny's top cover, unbolt it from the bellhouseing, pull it back, then lower on down to the floor. Just keep the tranny upright on the floor, a couple of the drilled holes for mounting the transfer case shift linkage go through to the inside of the case. Don't want to make an oily mess with tranny oil. Robert
