To continue from your post in the last forum:

You posted: It is a fun ride. The truck flies. It's also light and easy to drive. You don't hardly have to tough the gas up road hills. And sound, man, with the 3-pipe headers glass packs and turn outs it sounds like 2 H-D motorcycles stuck under the truck. My motor is out of a '66 Barracuda that the guy owned since he was a kid. A few years ago he wanted more, so he had the motor pulled and brought to a speed shop where they rebuilt the motor with a hot cam, Offy alum 4-barrel intake, and Clifford headers. He put the motor back in ran it for a year. Then pulled it out for a 340. We were able to fit it in with a 904 that I had rebuilt. After some rebending the Clifford's fit like a glove. With the 904 you have continuous power and don't have to lift to shift. My next project is to get a 1 1/2ton Dodge stake truck ('39 to '47}or Dodge WWII 6x6 and do the same for a delivery truck for my wood shop.

I posted these questions but the board got refreshed before you saw them:

I have a 41 I've been kicking around putting a small block into.

A six-banger is intriquing. Did you have to alter the firewall to get it to fit? Any photos of the conversion? Stock radiator? Any interference with the steering gear box? How easy is it to get to the distributer?

Also, MPG?
