You show volt meter+ from Batt., - to Ign. switch?
Can't see how that would work.
Volt meter + should be on Battery +, Volt meter - should be grounded for a continuous reading.
If you want volt meter to read only when Ign is on,then that's were you connect the Volt meter +,not to the Batt.
As far as Alt. output, connect to battery Positive or at the Starter Positive cable.
