Make no doubt, no manufacturer will tell you any modern tire with the right sidewall height for our trucks will fit on the relatively narrow rims of our trucks.
However, that doesn't mean that people have not done so successfully. Mr. Talbert at M-series used to run something very similar in size on all his restorations, I think he still does though not sure which brand he's currently going with. PWA also had some threads on people mounting similar sizes, this is all on the original split ring rims.
So no, technically it's not recommended, but due to the way the split rings work you can do so, and many people have and are.
