DOT 5 has problems , it has an affinity for air. your pedal will feel squishy. I gather this is because it does not absorb water and when the system gets hot air can form. i have also heard that the air forms when the fluid is going around corners. No clue as to the validity of how the squishy pedal is created but I can guarantee it is fact. I had a squishy pedal in my hot rod for almost a decade. last time I was changing lines I switched to standard fluid. No more squishy pedal.
That said I would use it again, there was no rust on anything in the system, all the rubber components and seals were fine.
