Willy. Take a look at this pic. The head on top is an early 218 head. The two lobes over the valves are symmetrical and the shoulder above the piston is short and steep.

The two lower heads are high-compression 230 heads. The lobes above the valves are not symmetrical. One lobe has been reduced. The shoulder above the piston is long and shallow.

Your head looks like a mix of the two styles. The area above the valves has been reduced, but the area towards the piston is short and steep. I reckon it's a transitional head. High compression, but without the enhanced chamber toward the piston.
