GM did not build a 1 ton 4x4 in the early 70s, you are right on about the Ford driver's drop.

After texting with to the seller, they confirmed that it is a straight chassis with no drop. D200 sits on a 69-71 W300 chassis.

The steering knuckles have been swapped side to side to allow for the front crossover link. Passenger side steering knuckles are made to accept a steering link to be installed...as these trucks are built to be either right hand or left hand drive.
