Clutch revisited

So I had a buddy push in the clutch while I tried turning the output shaft of the trans and that worked, so I know that my clutch is working fine, but still have a very stiff peddle, which is probably an issue of the difference in size between the Dodge MC used with Ray's brake kit (1.25" dia) to the Chevy NV4500 slave (20mm or 0.787")

Also seems like I don't have the peddle travel either, most likely due to the mismatch in volume displaced.

Maybe a bigger slave or a smaller MC?

This is for my 4BT setup with the early Chevy NV4500. Some of it could be the clutch but I specifically went with something close to stock for that reason since the original 454 V8 application should be plenty sufficient for the 4BT power and torque.
