How close do the 70 axles fit to PW hubs?

Any point to using the 70 hubs on a PW? Disc conversion? Would the calipers brackets bolt on?

Some guys can't stand the thought of being anywhere near those widowmaker split rims. Would the 70 hubs get them disks and 8 lug drop centers?
