Mice don't but when their out of the fluid they can rust after many years sitting. Never moved to turn the bearings and gears in the fluid coating them. Pipes were clean inside when I fired it off and sooted up fast which led me to carb problems also. I had cut the pipes off that stuck up and they were light rusted but rust color only. When I started the engine it fired right off then started this white slight gray smoke came out. Then after it was a little warm the blow by came out of the pipe some. To me the head gasket did not look that good compared to the T137 head I pulled a short time ago. That one looked like you could put it back on. So now I just want to see the pistons for my own good. I would love to drive it but that was not a option when I got it home. We had a bunch of snow on the ground and temps in the teens.
