You are correct - I can't take credit for the solution. It was my parts truck which I picked up in ME, primarily for the nose and this-and-that. The track was just a bonus.
Your frame sounds pretty rugged, but what do you mean "using a 2wd body"? Do you have the civilian 1/2t from that era with the rounded tear-drop type fenders? So it looks like a VC?
