I have a old (1970's) Ludell imported from Taiwan. I must say its a impressive Drill Press for a import. Its never failed me, spindle is as tight as when I bought it. I have even used it with a XY table to do some non precision milling. The imports form many years ago were great quality compared to today. Also have a Ludell 8" bench grinder I bought at the same time. Only the wheels have been changed many times.
I do however, want to find a small bench top mill this summer for some precision work.
