I am just a breath away from convincing a friend of mine to go PW. He has been looking for a vintage vehicle that would be a good driver. Subsequently, he also owns a small farm and has established a small orchard with about 100 fruit trees so I told him he needs to be looking for a Power Wagon instead of a 1954 Chebby. He can drive the truck wherever he wants, parts are readily available, and he can use it on the farm as well. Nothing more satisfying and pleasurable than being behind the wheel of one of these rigs.

Here is what I think he needs:
1948 FFPW (He already has a 48 Ford 8N and a 1948 REO 1 1/2 ton so I think it HAS to be a '48)
Decent body, relatively free of heavy rust but not a show truck.
A winch would be nice but not necessary (something about putting his wife or kids in a harness to pick apples from a gin pole rig)
Mechanically solid condition but not necessarily free from defects.
$4000-$10000 price range but likely more for a nice one.

Old iron is beautiful, but NOTHING compares to a Power Wagon. I almost have him convinced...

If anyone has a 48 or a line on one, please pass it along to me via e-mail or on the Forum so I can get the hook set!!!
