The six lug wheel is one ton specific, all the half, 3/4, and 1.5 tons had five lug.
The 1939 one ton six lug disc wheel is outwardly similar to the five lug 1940 military VC wheel, but only the loose ring will interchange.
Not only is the number of lugs different, but the one ton wheel has a pressed ridge that points out of the wheel as fitted, while the VC military wheel has an identical ridge that points inwards. You couldn't make one into the other without a lot of welding and machining.
