if it looks balanced and not odd to the eye then you will be happy. I think the tool box idea is a smart one. Just getting the right size so it does not look like a welding truck or utility truck will be the trick. You might be able to a photoshop cut and paste to get ideas, i do not have the program any more, it is pretty neat what you can do with it.
A side print and some felt pens might be the easiest way to be creative.
