AC was probably the most diversified manufacturing company in the history of the US. From atom smashers and atomic bombs & atomic energy to home and garden equipment, no other company had their own fully self contained facilities to turn out the worlds largest single cast parts, generators, tractors and a thousand other lines of machinery that helped industrialize the US in the early 20th century. Check out the book The Allis Chalmers Story by CH Wendell, it is about 700 pages of brief descriptions of AC's products! Believe it or not, farm and construction machinery were only a fraction of their products, developments and ingenuity!
