Pretty cool. It's amazing what kind of machinery there is out there. Speaking of the Libby dam, I have never been inside of it, but I did have the opportunity to tour one of the pin shafts at Cabinet Gorge Dam with a friend who was the manager at that time. He and one other employee had the two keys that were required to open the 28' wide steel gate that kept the water from running through. The shaft tapered from 28' to an opening about 12' with the blades of the turbine inside. The blades were about 6' in diameter and, as I recall, about 2" thick.
