I had the underside of my fenders Line-Xed, probably will do the running boards as well since you really do need to use them with these trucks.
I used a 3-part epoxy coating (similar to Raptor don't remember the name though) on the underside of the cab. Really nasty stuff but seems really durable.
I've used the spray can stuff on a few small items and to get into some of the spots I couldn't didn't get the epoxy stuff under the cab.
I did use the Herculiner on my fuel tank skid plate, seems stuck pretty well but won't know till it has to actually take a hit. I also liked the touch-up nature of them.
Regardless should be a good experiment of what works and what doesn't!
