Step back a second and listen to yourself... This truck, which now be on the road for a LOT longer than a stock original truck is being hated on because the man didn't swap out the wheels??? Seriously, of all the work required I'd imagine that something as simple but costly as new tires and wheels is not being done so that the price can stay at $70k. This is a good deal on a truck like this so long as the work itself is not hack.
Anyone can blast, clean, prime and paint a machine back to the way another man designed it; but working around limitations and improving on the function of something while maintaining as much original appearance as possible is NOT easy; trust me I am going down that road. I've been abraded recently by the purist WWII Dodge extremists so I've swung to the far end of the spectrum in regards to arguing that a stock truck is good for a gravel back road but its dangerous to take it anywhere else. Evolution is inevitable, and to resist it spells for certain extinction.
