WM300 251 engine

I have a '49 251 SPITFIRE cylinder head I would like to use on my '67 WM300 , but the Spitfire cylinder head has an extra hole in the front near the thermostat . What are my options ? I have the '49 block, both engines are re-buildable. Thanks BK
