Just sitting around the house today, trying to avoid the cold. Read Hickory’s post about the spur grips. So I decided to take my boat paddle and stir up a huge fight among us all.
To be or not to be ???. Tires are getting very expensive so does one buy off road tires or road tires? Now I know some of us need off road, but most of us need both.
Question 1 How much pulling power does an off road tire have over an on road tire?
2 Would, on road tires pull enough in all but the worst conditions?
3 Is the difference really worth wearing out a good set of off road tires on the road, just too
use when ya need them?
4 Are the tires worth the extra expense only to add looks to a truck?
5 Is the noise and rough ride worth the added looks to your truck?
6 Would a good set of tire chains on an on road tire pull as much as an off road tire?
7 Does an on road tire really ride much smoother?
8 Can we buy an on road tire as tall as off road tires?
9 Is it worth the price to have two sets of tires?
10 Will dry rot take both sets before the average user wears them out?
11 Do radials resist dry rot longer?
12 Do radials resist flat spots better from non-use?
